Luke's mom came out to visit during the first weekend in October. We love it when she comes to visit. She is so much fun to spend time with. I love this time of year and was so happy to do some fun full activities with her.
We went to Elk Grove Park for their Pumpkin Festival. It was our first time attending and we'll definitely go back. They had food, entertainment, games, and rides.
When Luke told us that we were going to watch people race in pumpkins across the lake, we didn't believe him. Sure enough, people raced in giant pumpkins. It was fun to watch!
They had a bunch of bounce houses and slides. Aust had a blast!
They had some booths where you could play games and win small prizes.
When we got home from the park Austin wanted to watch his dvd player. He fell asleep on the floor like this! He was so worn out from the park. And yes, he is wearing his puppy costume from Halloween last year. He has been wearing it daily for a month now. :)
Twyla and I took the boys to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm. It's in Wheatland, so it is a bit of a drive for us, but well worth it! It is SUCH a fun place to visit in the fall. They have a ton of things for kids to do and us adults have just as much fun. We spent an entire day there and still didn't do everything.
Aust rode a pony named "Peek A Boo."
I love cheap entertainment. Maybe because I grew up in Cleveland. They had a bunch of tractor tires buried in saw dust and the kids were having a blast jumping around on them.
Austin & Teague both loved pretending to drive the tractor. Twyla grew up on a farm in Idaho, so she is a pro!
They handed out baggies to each kid and let them pan for marbles.
The slides were Austin's favorite.

We took a train ride around the farm.
When we first got to the farm we had lunch. Austin got his own little bag with a corn dog, apples, apple juice, and a cookie. While we were eating he said, "This is the best picnic I ever had!" He is such a sweet boy and he is so easy to please.
He was brave and went down this huge slide!
Teague loved the baby pumpkins. He kept calling them balls. I LOVE the look on his face!
The next day we took the kiddos to a place called "Funtastick" here in Elk Grove.
I can't stop laughing at the awesome look on his face!
A brand new Chuck E Cheese opened up in Elk Grove a couple of months ago. I've never been to a Chuck E Cheese; we didn't have them in Cleveland. :) We took Aust there for his first time ever and we all had a blast! I would even go back there with no kids, it was that fun. During the entire month of October kids could wear their costumes, so of course Austin was excited to leave the house in his puppy costume. He kept saying how much fun he had and that we needed to go back to "Lucky Cheeses."
All of the boys compete for her attention, including Barkley. In fact, Barkley is the worst one. He is constantly on her lap or squeezing between she and the other boys. He doesn't let her forget that he was the first born in our family. ;)
