When Austin turned a year old, I stopped taking his picture every month and posting about the new things he is learning and doing. I really miss doing that! He is growing and changing so fast and is learning how to do something new every day. He is getting so smart and is constantly amazing us with just how much he understands. He is such a happy kid! He makes us laugh every day at the silly things he has learned to do! Here are a few pictures of what he has been up to:
He has a diaper stacker that hangs on his crib. His new thing to do now when he wakes up from a nap is to take all of his diapers out of the stacker and throw them on the floor. So, this is usually what his room looks like when I go in to get him.

Love his face!

Austin is FINALLY
holding his own sippy cup! Yes, most kids are able to hold their own bottle or cup long before their first birthday, but not Austy. He preferred us to do it for him. :)
I noticed that he would hold his own sippy cup when he was in his stroller because he could lay back and drink it. He didn't have to tip it up. So, I taught him to hold it himself by having him sit down on the floor and then having him lay down on his back.

This is Austin on his way from sitting on the floor to laying down so he can drink his sippy. Look at that pose!

We've been swimming quite a bit this summer. He loves hanging out in his tube!
Austin loves to take baths. His new favorite thing to do is drink the water from the tap while it's running.
We took one of the baby gates down so that he would have more room to play. He thinks it is so neat to be able to go play in his room, instead of just being stuck in the front room all day. I keep the other doors shut so he doesn't find too many things to get into. He has already figured out how to open and close the doors all by himself! So much for that idea!
This is how Austin asks where something is. He does it whenever he is looking for something. He is usually looking for his binki, his toys, his daddy, or the balloons that are outside.
We have balloons tied up outside near the front gates of our apartment. Every time we leave to go somewhere, Austin asks where the balloons are. He is obsessed with them. He puts his arms up like this and says, "balloon?" All day he walks around the house asking where they are.

Luke bought Austin his very own balloon.

what a handsome little guy! It is so much fun to see what he is up to. Davis has started making that funny face too! I hope you come out to Utah again soon so we can catch up and our boys can play!
He is sooo stinkin cute! I can't believe how old he is! And congrats on the sippy cup :) Wait just a few more months until he starts to figure out how things "work" by taking EVERYTHING out of everything else and trying to put it back together.... yes, toilet paper, tampon boxes, dishes, clothes out of the drawer, brooms... seriously, it doesn't stop all day! haha. Little Austin is so adorable tho. Have another!!! Lol, we need more cute kiddos in this world. BTW. I think your house is adorable.
So cute! Love it!
Oh he is growing and changing so fast. We can't wait to see him again!
