During the school year Luke was so busy that we didn't get too many opportunities to see California, so we've been trying to take advantage of his time off this summer. One place we've been wanting to see is Carmel, California. It is about a three hour drive from Sacramento and it is a BEAUTIFUL town. It looks like it's straight out of a Thomas Kinkade painting.
The beach is a white sand beach that is soooo soft on your feet!
Carmel Beach is a dog friendly beach, so we were able to take Barkley!
The weather that weekend was a little chilly. Its the first time I've been to a beach where people were bundled up in layers! I kept my jacket on the entire time. Of course the cold weather didn't stop Luke from getting in the ocean! He rented a wet suit so he could still boogie board!
